The Lewis and Clark Exploratory Center is to be a “hands-on center focusing on the historic expedition as a gateway for learning about exploration, transportation, the arts, science, the natural environment, and native cultures”. The center—housing exhibit space, a library, kitchen, and administrative offices—is located on the banks of the Rivanna River in Darden Towe Park.
This project showcases sustainable architectural, landscaping, and engineering design strategies as a teaching opportunity. 2RW provided the following specifications for the MEP systems as part of this design-build project.
